Opening Ceremony
Aboriginal welcome to Australia presented by representatives of the Cadigal tribe.
More than 2,000 people attended the opening ceremony at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

In his keynote presentation Tim Flannery focussed on the climate change and its impacts to the vulnerable Australian nature.	President Stig Enemark addressing the audience and thanking the official representatives from Australia.
The audience of the opening ceremony were led to the exhibition by aboriginal dancers.	The statue of James Meehan, one of the first surveyors in Australia and explorer whose statue was revealed at the opening ceremony and seen in full size at the exhibition.
